What is 404 Day Weekend?

404 Day Weekend is Atlanta's official cultural holiday, celebrated every April 4 (4/04) in honor of the city's iconic 404 area code. Recognized by the U.S. Congress, the State of Georgia, and the City of Atlanta, the celebration draws over 100,000 attendees for parades, galas, block parties, a 5K, and community events. It is produced by The 404 Collective.

404 Day 2026 falls on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The full 404 Day Weekend celebration runs April 1-4, 2026, with events including the 404 Day Parade, the 404 Fund Scholarship Gala, a Block Party at Underground Atlanta, and the Run Atlanta 5K.

What is the 404 Fund?

The 404 Fund is the nonprofit arm of 404 Day Weekend, operated through the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. It funds AUC Consortium scholarships and Maynard Jackson Small Business Grants. Over $215,000 has been awarded to date. EIN: 99-4681104.

Who organizes 404 Day Weekend?

The 404 Collective — composed of ButterATL, Atlanta Influences Everything, Trap Music Museum, and Finish First — produces 404 Day Weekend. Past sponsors include Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Delta, and Adidas.

Is 404 Day Weekend free?

Many 404 Day Weekend events are free, including the 404 Day Parade on Peachtree Street and the Block Party at Underground Atlanta. The Scholarship Gala ($150 per person / $1,500 per table of 8) and some evening events require tickets.

What is the 404 Day Parade?

The 2nd Annual 404 Day Parade marches down Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta on April 4, 2026. It features marching bands, dance troupes, community organizations, local celebrities, and floats. Free and open to the public.
